# Pre-Season: Awakening

## Goals

* increase user base (specifically traders)
* increase platform activity (specifically trading volume)
* propose a fun and rewarding event

## Design (Division)

This event was designed to include as many traders as possible (Size doesn’t matter 😉).

There will be 4 separate divisions. You'll be qualifying for a given division based on your total trading volume during the 6 week event. You will move up and down the leaderboards depending on how you compare to other traders.\
\ <mark style="background-color:green;">The total trading volume is calculated by adding 'open position', 'increase position', and 'close position' values.</mark>&#x20;

<mark style="background-color:green;">Trade volume for the competition is only counted for trades that have CLOSED. Positions that are held open will not count towards your division or rank in the competition.</mark>

*e.g. If there are 100 traders and you had the 50th highest trading volume, you would be placed in the Mutant tier (top 60%).*&#x20;

*e.g. If you open a $100k position and close it your total trading volume would be $200k.*&#x20;

*Edge case: If there aren’t enough traders, let’s say total participating traders == 50, then p90 would only be 5 traders. In that instance we would take the first 10 people by volume to fill the first division. All rewards are distributed as long as there are 40 participants.*

## Rewards (Rank)

The following rewards will be given to participants at the end of the 6 week event, based on ranking.\
\ <mark style="background-color:green;">Ranking is decided by your cumulative total volume over the course of the 6 week competition period.</mark>

*e.g. If you open and close a $100k position in week 1 and open and close a $200k position in week 6, your cumulative total volume would be $300k which would dictate your rank.*

Additionally, participants will receive a commemorative profile badge based on their performances.

There will be one badge per division, and variations based on your rank. In total 20 variations.

*For example: If you ranked 1st in the Leviathan Division, you would receive a Diamond Leviathan badge in addition to your ADX rewards.*

All participants in the top 80% volume will receive a badge.

The badge will be purely cosmetic, goal is to showcase your trading performances on your trader profile on site.
